Speaking Headless on a Hallowed Eve: Halloween Elegy

It was a cold, rainy, clichéd

Halloween.  One where the soul is

 

in need of simple human

understanding—all traditions

 

aside—when there seems to be none.

The children have all gone

 

to sleep so the real terrifying shit

can come flooding at you.
